Training Colorado observers tonight. The observers started taking biases and flats at 19:05 under mostly clear skies. Observers were taking their first science images by 20:05. Seeing was mediocre at the start of the night with it ranging between 1.1 and 2.5 arc sec. We had excellent seeing after midnight from sub arcsec to around 1.5 arc sec. SPIcam had a hicup this morning durning twilights. It kicked back out to Dryrot: and then acted as if somebody was holding down the enter key. I started a second xterm/dryrot and restarted SPIcam with no ill effects. Colorado people were very pleased with their first night on the 3.5m. Training went well and they got some excellent data. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:35 SPIcam 100(959) 157 56 10.9/13.4 180 9 R 1.35 19:52 NA2gdr 2600(62600) 165 57 10.5/12.8 179 8 R 1.68 21:18 SPIcam 50(910) 92 36 10.3/11.3 122 1 R 1.10 21:32 NA2gdr 3000(63000) 94 39 10.5/11.0 346 1 R 0.92 01:18 SPIcam 60(814) 135 48 9.9/9.8 21 12 I 0.87 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 56 44 4 284 (WNW) 324 Mst.
