Weather was mostly clear and cool. Once we started observing, the seeing was moderate, 1.1-1.5 arcseconds. Both the wind and the humidity rose quickly around sunset, but leveled off before reaching a limit. We were able to get lots of science during the first half, then the humidity rose to the limit just at the beginning of the instrument change, and the telescope was closed. The humidity went high enough for ground fog to appear briefly, then dropped to linger at the limit for hours. We were finally able to open at 05:20 and get a couple of spectra before twilight. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:49 SPIcam 50(899) 319 51 9.3/10.4 82 23 r' 1.3 19:55 NA2gdr 479(60479) 319 50 9.2/10.2 77 19 V 1.24 23:39 SPIcam 125(884) 199 55 8.4/8.5 77 20 r' 1.48 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 57 32 8 83 (E) 244 mstly clr none 18:01 54 33 9 87 (E) 228 mstly clr none 19:01 51 35 22 76 (ENE) 202 mstly clr none 20:01 48 39 19 75 (ENE) 242 mstly clr none 21:01 49 39 22 75 (ENE) 258 ptly cldy none 22:01 48 40 19 73 (ENE) 303 mstly clr none 23:01 48 39 13 76 (ENE) 303 mstly clr none 00:01 47 40 7 99 (E) 293 mstly clr none 01:01 45 42 10 72 (ENE) 330 mstly clr none 02:01 45 43 6 102 (ESE) 430 mstly clr fog 03:01 45 42 17 67 (ENE) 270 mstly clr none 04:01 44 41 20 68 (ENE) 275 clear none 05:01 44 41 10 52 (NE) 174 clear none 06:01 47 39 1 42 (NE) 409 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
