First half started out mostly clear with poor seeing and gradually improved to moderate seeing. The guider was occasionally getting subarcsecond images, although the DIS slitviewer wasn't doing quite so well. Clouds moved in around 23:10 and the wind kicked up significantly. We closed until 01:30, then re-opened to battle patchy clouds for several hours. The rain sensor triggered at 04:40 -- apparently a false alarm caused by humidity, but I closed anyway. The clouds never really parted enough to allow science until twilight came too close. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:36 DISslit -150(854) -78 56 12.4/16.9 76 13 - 1.92 19:41 NA2gdr 4000(60000) -78 55 12.5/16.7 74 9 R 1.7 21:36 DISslit 150(1072) 151 47 14.9/14.6 23 1 - 1.15 01:40 DISslit 75(875) 211 47 11.5/11.8 90 7 - 1.21 01:43 NA2gdr 2661(58661) 212 47 11.8/11.9 91 7 R 1.06 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 64 31 3 262 (W) 207 mstly clr none 18:01 65 33 3 267 (W) 180 ptly cldy none 19:01 56 38 15 73 (ENE) 499 mstly clr none 20:01 54 38 7 86 (E) 265 clear none 21:01 58 33 1 113 (ESE) 237 clear none 22:01 60 25 1 58 (ENE) 229 mstly clr none 23:01 60 26 0 171 (S) 179 ptly cldy none 00:01 50 37 19 69 (ENE) 187 ptly cldy none 01:01 50 40 12 85 (E) 303 ptly cldy none 02:01 54 36 3 112 (ESE) 288 ptly cldy none 03:01 51 38 13 139 (SE) 306 ptly cldy none 04:01 52 41 12 166 (SSE) 1069 ptly cldy none? 05:01 53 41 13 189 (S) 793 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
