No problems encountered except for the fact that one of the enclosure louver switches was left in the 'off' instead of the 'auto' position. The GRIM ICC failed MULTIPLE times tonight, email was sent to Craig. Mostly old failures that are known troubles, just a *lot* more in one night than I have seen before. The IRSC started failing (stalled) and I tried multiple methods of restarting it. Although the camera was scanning the sky, all galileo would tell me was that the scripts had shut down. I closed it up. I observed for the Lens Monitoring Program tonight with average seeing and no technical problems, humidity rose right near end of night and seeing degraded as wind shifted. ---------------- PROBLEM LOG ---------------- Time Problem/Fix PR# ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:57 GRIM ICC crashed (error 1), restarted ICC OK 22:57 GRIM ICC crashed (error 1), restarted ICC OK 00:07 GRIM ICC "not connected to hub" error, restarted OK 00:26 GRIM ICC problem, MC and ICC had to be restarted to fix (This only worked for one ping, then restarted ICC again) 00:37 GRIM ICC restarted to clear "FIND-METHOD Error #103" 01:15 IRSC stalled and had to be restarted, twice 01:35 IRSC failed for good, could not revive it 02:34 GRIM ICC crashed (error 1), restarted ICC OK 02:47 GRIM ICC crashed (error 1), restarted ICC OK 03:34 GRIM ICC crashed (error 1), restarted ICC OK 03:48 GRIM ICC crashed (error 1), restarted ICC OK ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:46 GrIm f/5 150(1587) 73 68 18.8/19.6 176 12 J 0.71" 04:09 SPIcam 10(1255) 167 60 14.0/14.0 345 6 r' 0.98" --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 72 47 9 193 (SSW) 666 cloudy none 19:01 66 45 4 186 (S) 503 cloudy none 20:01 65 44 4 179 (S) 412 ptly cldy none 21:01 64 42 13 182 (S) 589 ptly cldy none 22:01 62 43 11 182 (S) 472 ptly cldy none 23:01 61 45 11 186 (S) 529 mstly clr none 00:01 59 47 3 182 (S) 867 mstly clr none 01:01 59 47 5 268 (W) 857 mstly clr none 02:01 58 47 6 267 (W) 689 clear none 03:01 57 48 6 267 (W) 830 clear none 04:01 57 47 6 342 (NNW) 1032 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
