Everything went very smoothly after that, with telescope, guider, and instrument all behaving well. Skies were clear all night and seeing was generally moderate (1.2-1.6 arcsec), with a few short periods of subarcsecond seeing. --------------- OBSERVER COMMENTS ---------------- R.Wurtz (DD03): Seeing was okay. Dome was too chilly. No problems. I don't think we had a single problem. We pointed just . Clear all night. A little windy. Happy that instrument block is done. I hope tomorrow night's as good. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:31 FTS 250(1161)* -46 59 14.7/15.9 265 17 none 1.43 22:13 NA2gdr 748(52798) -49 53 14.3/15.1 277 12 Red 1.39 02:28 FTS -25(1075) 80 45 12.6/12.7 279 12 none 1.21 02:29 NA2gdr -372(50627) 80 45 12.7/12.8 275 6 none 1.23 * The zero point for the instrument focus was changed after this measurement. ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 66 21 23 255 (WSW) 1302 clear none 18:01 67 22 13 249 (WSW) 1375 clear none 19:01 65 17 27 262 (W) 1537 clear none 20:01 60 18 19 268 (W) 1696 clear none 21:01 59 18 16 266 (W) 1629 clear none 22:01 58 17 20 272 (W) 1232 clear none 23:01 57 16 15 274 (W) 1279 clear none 00:01 56 16 10 268 (W) 1193 clear none 01:01 56 16 18 285 (WNW) 1093 clear none 02:01 55 17 12 273 (W) 1072 clear none 03:01 54 18 16 298 (WNW) 1059 clear none 04:01 54 19 16 296 (WNW) 1153 clear none 05:01 52 20 9 286 (WNW) 1279 note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
