Upon opening under partly cloudy skies all ran well. The clouds immediately sensed that the dome had opened and moved in and for a while we tried to shoot through drifting cumulus until I decided the rain danger from the north was too great and I again closed. We did get one good target in sub arcsecond seeing before I had to close again. We opened again at 03:00 under very questionable skies to try and test the FTS. We got one image of a star dead center on the chip so we decided to skip any instrument block since the instrument was pointing well. Of course, the clouds quickly closed in again. We tried a few through the clouds to no avail, so I closed up for the night. ---------------- PROBLEM LOG ---------------- Time Problem/Fix PR# ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:00 FTS +050(????) 163 68 14.7/15.0 90 6 blocker 1.3" --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 60 45 10 79 (ENE) 1434 cloudy none 17:01 63 45 1 97 (E) 1957 cloudy none 18:01 56 43 14 52 (NE) 846 cloudy rain 19:01 58 39 23 36 (NE) 181 cloudy none 20:01 65 35 13 31 (NNE) 156 cloudy none 21:01 59 39 2 113 (ESE) 385 cloudy none 22:01 60 38 2 186 (S) 310 cloudy none 23:01 60 40 4 203 (SSW) 746 cloudy none 00:01 61 40 3 288 (WNW) 1345 cloudy none 01:01 57 43 9 207 (SSW) 1789 cloudy none 02:01 56 44 2 185 (S) 2262 cloudy none 03:01 57 42 7 87 (E) 1603 cloudy none 04:01 58 43 5 85 (E) 934 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
