We lost our internet connection to the outside world, well at least beyond NMSU, at around 22:30. This also prevented (apparently) the remote users Remark connection. We were closed due to the weather so no telescope time was lost due to the problem. The problem lasted for about an hour. The skies started to look better (we could at least see some stars) at around 11:20 so I opened the enclosure. I did a focus run at 23:35 and found the seeing to be around 1.4 arc sec. Clouds moved back in around 00:30 and stopped observations and we restarted again a little after 02:00. Seeing was between 1-2 arc sec getting worse towards morning. We were fighting, but shooting thru, clouds all night long. We closed at 04:30 due to humidity at nearing closure limits and rising. Seeing was pretty bad anyhow. ----------------- PROBLEM LOG ---------------- Time Problem/Fix PR# ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:30 Internet connection failed at NMSU - lasted about 1hr ---------------- INSTRUMENT LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:42 GrIm-f/5 -40(1185) 114 65 13.6/14.2 128 20 J 1.40 01:16 SPIcam -70(1186) 156 49 12.9/13.4 114 15 g 1.39 01:22 NA2gdr -312(59687) 158 50 13.0/13.4 113 16 none 1.47 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 62 30 5 173 (S) 979 Clouds none 19:01 58 37 11 64 (ENE) 854 Clouds none 20:01 59 36 6 290 (WNW) 1776 Clouds none 21:01 57 37 7 42 (NE) 1404 Clouds none 22:01 58 41 14 146 (SE) 1835 Clouds none 23:01 58 42 18 138 (SE) 2114 Pt.
