When we did open, thin clouds persisted and the seeing was mediocre (1.3-2.0 arcsec). A large and very sudden dust spike caused us to close for the middle of the night, but we reopened for more mediocre seeing and mostly clear skies until twilight. Everything worked well aside from two guider failures, both easily recovered. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:46 DISslit -100(1155) 286 64 13.5/15.1 145 21 - 1.46 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 64 37 8 228 (SW) 1086 cloudy none 19:01 57 40 10 139 (SE) 1238 cloudy rain,hail 20:01 59 39 10 110 (ESE) 1267 mstly cldy lt. rain 21:01 58 38 12 132 (SE) 1110 mstly cldy none 22:01 57 40 7 115 (ESE) 1386 ptly cldy none 23:01 56 40 19 132 (SE) 562 ptly cldy none 00:01 53 43 17 129 (SE) 12032 mstly clr dust 01:01 54 43 16 136 (SE) 8914 clear dust 02:01 53 43 20 149 (SSE) 1885 mstly clr none 03:01 52 44 10 172 (S) 1590 ptly cldy none 04:01 54 43 11 178 (S) 1090 mstly clr none 05:01 54 45 8 183 (S) 1545 mstly clr none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
