Seeing was poor to moderate first half (1.1-2.0 arcsec). We had to close before midnight due to a dust event. There was only one guider failure, recovered with no time loss. We re-opened second half when the dust dropped at last, and this time the skies were clear and the seeing subarcsecond. I finished up with some very nice images of a lensed quasar. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:52 DISslit -120(1170) 5 75 14.7/16.2 112 21 - 1.15 02:56 DISslit -80(1121) -29 54 13.5/13.4 106 9 - 0.92 04:27 SPIcam 100(1449) 139 53 14.7/14.1 79 5 r' 0.85 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 67 33 12 81 (E) 1028 ptly cldy none 18:01 66 32 0 113 (ESE) 1082 mstly cldy none 19:01 64 30 8 88 (E) 977 mstly cldy none 20:01 62 28 15 113 (ESE) 793 ptly cldy none 21:01 60 31 19 113 (ESE) 850 cirrus none 22:01 58 36 17 112 (ESE) 799 cirrus none 23:01 57 40 17 108 (ESE) 1855 mstly clr none 00:01 55 42 15 98 (E) 4342 clear none 01:01 55 40 10 83 (E) 4650 clear none 02:01 56 38 8 91 (E) 3805 clear none 03:01 56 36 8 107 (ESE) 2560 clear none 04:01 58 33 6 83 (E) 1866 mstly clr none 05:01 59 32 7 84 (E) 1332 mstly clr none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
