We had light rain at 21:00 that lasted for about 15-20 mins. The dust levels remained a bit elevated afterwards, more than I was comfortable with to open up, since it felt humid outside from the recent rain. Dust levels fluctuated up and down all evening long dropping below closure limits just to climb above them again in 15-20 mins. Never able to open for the first half tonight. The dust levels finally dropped below closure limits long enough to open at 01:12. A sporadic glitch came thru from (I think) the observers Mac (02:25) or the echelle auto-guider. This caused the telescope to stop tracking. A PR was submitted. I also noticed a oscillatory pattern in the guiding corrections in the X-direction for the echelle. A PR was also submitted to make Bob L. aware of this. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:21 Echelle -39(338) 172 36 13.5/15.4 262 18 none 1.93 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 71 35 27 254 (WSW) 1351 Pt.
