We also had overcast skies until sunset when the clouds evaporated. I opened the enclosure at 19:50 with a few remaining clouds in the N, but clearing nicely. I focused SPIcam for Adler at 20:23 and as soon as I turned the instrument over to them, the dust levels shot past the closure limits and had to close the enclosure before Adler could even get one image. Opened again at 21:50 and focused the instrument. Seeing was about 1.5 arc sec when we opened and improved to around 1 arc sec by midnight. The seeing varied between 1 and 1.5 arc sec for most of the 2nd half. Everything ran smoothly tonight --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:23 SPIcam -150(741) 110 64 3.3/6.0 279 20 R 1.13 22:00 DISslit -150(531) 73 72 2.2/4.1 293 18 none 1.44 22:05 NA2gdr -775(55224) 73 72 2.1/3.9 291 17 none 1.56 00:30 DISslit -10(571) 160 56 1.0/1.1 301 15 none 1.12 02:31 DISslit 30(591) 15 59 1.2/0.8 289 10 none 1.32 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 46 8 23 273 (W) 2348 ? ? 17:01 44 8 19 251 (WSW) 2048 ? ? 18:01 44 9 24 269 (W) 1982 Mst.
