Once we opened, everything went smoothly. We had occasional clouds never really thick enough to impede science, and good seeing (0.9-1.3 arcseconds on the slitviewer, 0.7-1.2 on the guider). Helicopters buzzed around the observatory for several hours as if looking for something, but fortunately they weren't using floodlights. Some of them showed up as blips and streaks on the cloudcam. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:22 DISslit -100(1268) 68 79 16.2/17.9 312 5 - 1.03 21:25 NA2gdr 925(56925) 68 80 16.1/17.9 342 9 none 0.95 04:29 SPIcam -10(1401) 130 44 14.0/14.6 283 6 r' 0.94 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 17:01 67 22 15 285 (WNW) 699 ptly cldy none 18:01 67 22 13 275 (W) 704 ptly cldy none 19:01 62 22 11 275 (W) 789 ptly cldy none 20:01 62 22 12 293 (WNW) 755 ptly cldy none 21:01 61 23 1 7 (N) 759 mstly clr none 22:01 60 22 13 313 (NW) 663 mstly clr none 23:01 59 24 4 308 (NW) 677 ptly cldy none 00:01 60 24 0 325 (NW) 1730 mstly clr none 01:01 60 24 5 275 (W) 959 ptly cldy none 02:01 58 24 7 314 (NW) 656 ptly cldy none 03:01 60 23 12 322 (NW) 594 ptly cldy none 04:01 59 24 8 291 (WNW) 912 clear none 05:01 58 24 10 282 (WNW) 784 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
