Enclosure opened at 19:30. Dust event forced closure at 21:07. We re-opened at 21:53. We closed again (due to clouds) at 22:25, but I left the enclosure open with the press fans on/cooling fans off/louvers closed due to dust levels on the increase again. Closed the enclosure at 22:56 due to clouds. 2nd half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan Second half remained cloudy, and the telescope was never re-opened. I closed the cloud camera when precipitation crept into the radar blind spot to the SE of the observatory. The precipitation sensor did go off at about 0300, but I saw no direct signs of rain or snow when I went out to check. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:42 Echelle -31(0) 36 66 8.4/10.1 224 17 ND1 1.36 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 54 14 27 218 (SW) 805 lt. cirrus none 17:01 54 8 16 246 (WSW) 594 lt. cirrus none 18:01 53 9 24 212 (SSW) 844 lt. cirrus none 19:01 49 9 26 206 (SSW) 1002 lt. cirrus none 20:01 48 6 15 242 (WSW) 1372 cirrus none 21:01 45 12 12 261 (W) 2083 cirrus dust 22:01 45 11 17 244 (WSW) 1133 clouds none 23:01 43 12 13 261 (W) 1071 clouds none 00:01 43 14 17 237 (WSW) 538 clouds none 01:01 41 17 27 237 (WSW) 462 cloudy none 02:01 41 20 25 240 (WSW) 426 cloudy none 03:01 40 23 17 259 (W) 333 cloudy none 04:01 39 24 13 251 (WSW) 313 mstly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
