Closed louvers to do DIS cal checkout at 17:30 and re-opened the louvers at 18:00. Closed the louvers again at 18:55 so enclosure would be dark for observers to do cals. We had a dust event occur at 19:00 and the cooling fans were turned off and pressurization fans turned on to keep dust out of the enclosure. Dust levels dropped below closure limits at around 22:50 and I opened the enclosure at 23:05 and got the observers on their way around 23:15. Observing Specialist 2nd Half: Russet McMillan Second half went smoothly in spite of less-than-perfect weather. We had light cirrus, variable seeing (from 0.8 to 1.6 and back on very short timescales), and borderline dust and humidity. But it was never quite bad enough to force us to close, and a lot of targets were observed. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:23 DISslit -210(626) 66 81 6.6/8.2 154 14 none 1.24 23:25 NA2gdr 2199(58199) 66 81 6.6/8.2 154 14 none 0.90 01:12 DISslit 0(880) 143 55 5.2/6.3 126 5 - 1.39 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 57 14 14 205 (SSW) 989 Cloudy None 17:01 54 21 10 197 (SSW) 1152 Cloudy None 18:01 50 25 16 213 (SSW) 1338 Cloudy None 19:01 48 31 17 219 (SW) 4764 Pt.
