We eventually opened at 20:51 MDT under partially cloudy skies. No problems encountered. Immediately upon opening, after two focus frames, the dust went up by 15,000 counts, so we closed again at 21:03 MDT. At 22:24 MDT we had another false fire alarm in the new dorm. Dust dropped below limits and we were able to open at 02:00 MDT and stayed open the rest of the night. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:56 DIS Slit -150(???) 1 54 10.9/11.8 237 26 none 1.48" 02:12 DIS Slit -220(706) 226 47 7.3/8.3 232 19 none 1.55" 03:25 DIS Slit 0(915) 242 35 6.3/6.5 203 14 none 3.10" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 57 16 31 254 (WSW) 4080 cloudy none 17:01 57 15 31 265 (W) 3210 cloudy none 18:01 56 15 35 258 (WSW) 2640 cloudy none 19:01 54 15 31 259 (W) 2516 cloudy none 20:01 51 13 30 253 (WSW) 1769 cloudy none 21:01 50 16 25 229 (SW) 35065 cloudy none 22:01 47 16 26 213 (SSW) 33537 cloudy none 23:01 47 15 29 221 (SW) 15174 cloudy none 00:01 46 16 17 233 (SW) 10399 cloudy none 01:01 45 16 19 237 (WSW) 4266 cloudy none 02:01 44 17 16 241 (WSW) 2279 cloudy none 03:01 43 18 16 217 (SW) 2480 cloudy none 04:01 43 18 18 206 (SSW) 1874 cloudy none 05:01 44 14 25 199 (SSW) 1485 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
