Opened enclosure at 19:50. The rotator overshot in the CW (+) direction tonight. Russet was in early and adjusted the parameters at 21:50 since it seemed to be getting worse. 0.1h lost to fixing the problem. The seeing started out sub arc sec but seemed to get worse (about 3.0 arc sec, confirmed by SDSS) around 21:25 and then improved to 1.5 arc sec. 2nd half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan The humidity started to become threatening shortly before the program changeover, but it wasn't necessary to close right away. A command collision during the instrument change and some more tests of the rotator took a few minutes of potential observing time. We managed to get some science done in spite of poor seeing (~2 arcseconds) and borderline humidity, until the dewpoint finally got too high and we closed at 03:45. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:25 SPIcam -50(1080) 7 53 8.8/10.8 18 11 R 0.87 20:25 NA2gdr 475(60475) 7 53 8.8/10.8 18 11 none 1.17 21:22 SPIcam -50(1029) -1 54 8.4/9.7 89 7 R 0.89 22:15 SPIcam 10(1090) -9 53 9.8/9.6 76 3 R 1.77 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 55 38 3 299 (WNW) 1224 Cirrus none 17:01 55 38 2 266 (W) 1247 Cirrus none 18:01 50 38 0 226 (SW) 1273 Cirrus none 19:01 49 38 1 127 (SE) 1238 Lt.
