During a test, the red chip was saturated, but I took about 50 bias frames to bleed it off. By the time they started cals the chip looked normal. The skies were clear and all ran well. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan The dust counts began to run up shortly before the program change into second half. We stayed open long enough to focus, but had to close before getting to any science targets. The dust counts lingered above the limit for several hours before dropping enough to reopen. After refocusing, we got a little over an hour of data before twilight struck. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:15 DIS Slit -100(874) 56 67 9.9/10.9 261 15 none 1.54" 20:21 NA2 Gdr ????(???) 55 67 9.9/10.7 263 18 R 1.53" 23:31 DISslit 40(1018) -50 47 7.8/7.8 281 11 - 1.39 01:17 GrIm2(f/5) 50(1073) 157 55 6.3/7.2 359 7 J 1.18 04:35 GrIm2(f/5) -50(945) 351 62 7.6/7.0 358 4 J 0.83 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 58 13 7 236 (SW) 1211 clear none 17:01 58 12 16 274 (W) 1216 clear none 18:01 58 10 20 269 (W) 1350 clear none 19:01 52 7 13 261 (W) 1051 clear none 20:01 50 2 8 266 (W) 1160 clear none 21:01 48 2 16 276 (W) 1306 clear none 22:01 47 1 7 279 (W) 1217 clear none 23:01 47 3 8 254 (WSW) 1226 clear none 00:01 46 2 16 304 (NW) 1912 clear none 01:01 46 1 10 313 (NW) 2859 clear none 02:01 46 1 13 345 (NNW) 3353 clear none 03:01 47 1 9 349 (NNW) 3514 clear none 04:01 45 0 12 323 (NW) 3135 clear none 05:01 46 0 12 321 (NW) 2717 clear none 06:01 45 0 9 348 (NNW) 2452 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
