We opened again at 19:05 to focus. All ran smoothly, no problems encountered with telescope. At 23:35 MDT or so the commercial internet connection died. There was no interruption in observing with UW or Princeton due to the VBNS connection remaining active. It appeared that something at NMSU was messed up as 'traceroute' showed. Pointing was very good all night and clouds became thick around 02:00 MDT and just got worse from then on. We had a fire alarm in the new dorm at 04:44 MDT, but was a false alarm. Dust went over the limit at 04:50 MDT in the enclosure despite the fans being off an press fans on. Despite the weather, the Princeton team got good data. :) --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:24 DIS Slit 30(678) 55 67 2.6/3.6 267 11 none 1.52" 20:31 NA2 Gdr -388(677) 55 68 2.5/3.5 267 12 R 1.47" 01:52 DIS Slit 70(716) 313 38 2.0/2.0 315 17 none 1.87" 01:57 NA2 Gdr 0(???) 215 56 1.9/1.9 323 14 none 1.57" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 41 8 21 266 (W) 954 clear none 17:01 41 7 20 272 (W) 871 clear none 18:01 42 7 16 274 (W) 1005 clear none 19:01 40 8 16 247 (WSW) 1091 clear none 20:01 35 7 12 257 (WSW) 1215 clear none 21:01 36 7 8 267 (W) 1472 clear none 22:01 35 8 10 268 (W) 1139 clear none 23:01 35 8 7 236 (SW) 998 cirrus none 00:01 37 7 10 275 (W) 1092 cirrus none 01:01 37 6 12 302 (WNW) 1237 cirrus none 02:01 36 8 12 287 (WNW) 1186 cirrus none 03:01 37 -1 15 267 (W) 1685 cloudy none 04:01 38 -3 18 280 (W) 1922 cloudy none 05:01 39 -2 8 287 (WNW) 2716 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
