Dust levels and wind were acceptable, but temps were low. I took z' flats for the observers to help speed things up. Offset and rotated between each to help average out any scattered light we were getting. The seeing was variable and the temps were low and things ran smoothly all night. The Princeton team managed to image over 90 targets tonight and seeing stabilized around 1 arcsec. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:24 SPIcam -040(576) 296 75 -0.4/+0.2 254 15 z' 1.69" 20:30 NA2 Gdr 367(574) 295 74 -0.5/+0.1 250 15 none 2.01" 21:07 SPIcam -040(559) 283 71 -0.9/-0.5 237 15 z' 0.99" 22:10 SPIcam +050(689) 219 52 -0.5/-0.7 271 21 z' 0.91" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 40 10 14 226 (SW) 628 clear none 17:01 38 7 12 208 (SSW) 650 clear none 18:01 40 11 15 244 (WSW) 730 clear none 19:01 35 9 16 221 (SW) 786 clear none 20:01 31 7 15 229 (SW) 897 clear none 21:01 31 8 17 233 (SW) 997 clear none 22:01 32 6 16 259 (W) 1155 clear none 23:01 31 5 17 256 (WSW) 931 clear none 00:01 30 7 17 257 (WSW) 854 clear none 01:01 30 8 13 268 (W) 1020 clear none 02:01 31 8 12 278 (W) 1069 clear none 03:01 31 9 11 267 (W) 959 clear none 04:01 30 9 14 245 (WSW) 909 clear none 05:01 30 8 13 252 (WSW) 933 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
