Heaters were on all day and dome was dry and clear. The cirrus was thick early on, but then cleared up some. I took flats for the second half SPIcam users in case we had to close later on due to clouds moving in. The Echelle ran smoothly and pointed well, despite our 2+ arcsecs seeing first half. Switched over to SPIcam at halftime without incident and UW ran for the rest of the night through variable clouds and bad seeing. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:10 Echelle -0(-341) 189 52 -0.4/+0.2 097 14 ND2 1.78" 23:40 SPIcam 50(666) 172 57 -0.0/-0.8 180 6 R 1.70" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 20 9 221 (SW) 220 Cirrus none 17:01 37 20 9 179 (S) 231 Cirrus none 18:01 33 20 8 167 (SSE) 260 Cirrus none 19:01 31 19 10 121 (ESE) 275 Cirrus none 20:01 31 18 11 109 (ESE) 276 Cirrus none 21:01 31 18 3 145 (SE) 311 Cirrus none 22:01 30 18 2 169 (SSE) 314 Cirrus none 23:01 29 18 18 126 (SE) 254 Cirrus none 00:01 34 7 11 156 (SSE) 178 Cirrus none 01:01 30 14 15 123 (ESE) 272 Cirrus none 02:01 33 5 22 148 (SSE) 246 Cirrus none 03:01 34 -3 20 149 (SSE) 190 Cirrus none 04:01 35 -4 17 151 (SSE) 187 Cirrus none 05:01 30 8 10 156 (SSE) 196 Cirrus none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
