It started a rain/ice/snow mix at 17:30. Humidity was too high and snow started which prevented opening for the first half of the night. Snow started accumulating about 21:00. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan The snow stopped around midnight and the sky became less optically thick an hour or so later. It was never quite clear, and the humidity was near the limit much of the night. I checked the roof and found snow and ice present in places that made opening inadvisable, so the telescope remained closed all night. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:02 44 23 11 276 (W) 741 Cloudy none 17:02 43 24 8 267 (W) 732 Cloudy rain,ice,snow 18:02 38 28 22 307 (NW) 698 Cloudy rain,ice,snow 19:02 37 28 13 326 (NW) 444 Cloudy rain,ice,snow 20:02 35 30 14 358 (N) 388 Cloudy rain,ice,snow 21:02 31 30 22 19 (NNE) 201 Cloudy snow 22:02 30 30 17 0 (N) 30 Cloudy snow 23:02 30 29 8 351 (N) 233 Cloudy snow 00:02 33 28 7 353 (N) 297 cloudy none 01:02 33 28 17 358 (N) 284 ptly cldy none 02:02 33 26 11 358 (N) 283 ptly cldy none 03:02 32 26 7 322 (NW) 328 ptly cldy none 04:02 32 25 5 329 (NNW) 264 ptly cldy none 05:02 32 26 10 338 (NNW) 287 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
