Opened enclosure at 18:05. At 21:55 the observer slewed the telescope to a new set of coords, the telescope made the slew in Az but the Alt did not slew. I power cycled the motors, did an axis init, and a track/mount slew from the tcc (which worked) then let the observer re-slew to his object and everything ran fine. Don't know what the glitch (over current?) was or why it happened, but power cycling the drives fixed the problem. Everything ran fine with the telescope otherwise. Seeing was generally good, but the focus had to be adjusted quite often by the observers (Probably due to the passing storm system) especially during the 2nd half of the night. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:00 SPIcam -50(1103) 167 56 9.7/11.6 241 17 i' 0.83 19:07 NA2gdr 2326(63376) 170 56 9.8/11.4 240 16 red 1.18 20:15 SPIcam -50(1006) 105 58 8.4/9.6 232 15 i' 0.92 01:10 SPIcam 50(1003) 300 59 7.7/7.0 5 8 i' 0.87 03:55 SPIcam -75(844) 193 63 6.7/6.6 356 6 i' 0.82 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 56 14 7 267 (W) 371 lt. cirrus none 17:01 56 16 16 231 (SW) 432 lt. cirrus none 18:01 49 15 15 256 (WSW) 380 lt. cirrus none 19:01 50 12 17 239 (WSW) 448 clear none 20:01 46 10 15 250 (WSW) 314 clear none 21:01 47 12 12 231 (SW) 276 clear none 22:01 46 13 20 281 (W) 508 clear none 23:01 46 14 12 294 (WNW) 366 lt. cirrus none 00:01 44 14 7 341 (NNW) 333 lt. cirrus none 01:01 46 13 5 308 (NW) 343 lt. cirrus none 02:01 46 11 12 344 (NNW) 263 lt. cirrus none 03:01 46 11 5 340 (NNW) 227 lt. cirrus none 04:01 43 13 2 353 (N) 233 lt. cirrus none 05:01 45 11 9 33 (NNE) 260 pt. cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
