I started the snow program (just as a precaution to prevent snow accumulation) around 19:30 tonight. The roof heaters are also on (from earlier in the day). Snow program was ended at 22:00 since it was now raining and not snowing. Russet installed the new multi-slit wheel in DIS earlier this afternoon and it seemed to work fine during instrument checkout. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Russet McMillan Second half had high winds and humidity, with a little rain and a brief hailstorm. I ran the snow program after the hail fell in hopes that the wind would blow any ice off the roof. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 36 31 12 184 (S) 812 clouds rain-snow 17:01 34 32 19 165 (SSE) 743 fog rain-snow 18:01 34 33 20 222 (SW) 870 clouds rain-snow 19:01 33 32 16 166 (SSE) 267 clouds rain-snow 20:01 35 32 25 167 (SSE) 787 clouds drizzle 21:01 34 33 24 133 (SE) 841 clouds drizzle 22:01 35 33 15 153 (SSE) 801 cloudy none? 23:01 36 31 18 159 (SSE) 783 cloudy none? 00:01 35 33 22 158 (SSE) 761 cloudy none? 01:01 37 31 26 179 (S) 792 cloudy rain + snow 02:01 37 32 17 183 (S) 857 cloudy none? 03:01 37 32 13 176 (S) 876 cloudy none? 04:01 33 32 25 188 (S) 869 cloudy rain + hail 05:01 32 32 21 199 (SSW) 25 cloudy rain + hail note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
