All instruments tested OK. I manually filled the Echelle CCD reservoir and all temps are good. Bob Lowenstein built a new Remark version that Don York tested. I tried to download it for testing but the U.Chicago server would not let me, so I will try working on it tomorrow. All ran smoothly. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Jack Dembicky 2nd half observers decided that they wanted SPIcam instead of GRIM tonight due to clouds. Mounted instrument for them and checked it out at 00:05. Clouds for all of the night but the observers observed thru them most of the night (stopped twice due to weather). The Echelle ran out of LN2 tonight at 05:05, I did the manual fill of the instrument then since the temp sensor is out of commision for the time being (PR has been submitted previously). Only the camera was filled at this time (per Camron's instructions) and not the shield (which as I understand it is filling correctly). I did not fill it again at the end of the night since only 1 hr had past since the last fill. All ran smoothly otherwise. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:30 Echelle 75(227) 348 65 1.7/2.1 235 17 ND2 0.90" 00:37 SPICam 25(726) 287 60 1.3/1.2 200 18 u 0.67" 00:42 NA2gdr 688(60688) 287 60 1.3/1.1 209 16 none 0.85" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 39 -1 17 238 (WSW) 584 Cirrus None 17:01 35 -2 16 227 (SW) 618 Cirrus None 18:01 35 -9 15 188 (S) 1392 Cirrus None 19:01 36 -10 19 217 (SW) 2234 Cirrus None 20:01 36 -7 12 249 (WSW) 1804 Cirrus None 21:01 35 -4 13 183 (S) 1471 Cirrus None 22:01 35 -2 15 201 (SSW) 1240 Cirrus None 23:01 35 -1 18 197 (SSW) 1115 Cirrus None 00:01 36 2 19 199 (SSW) 1268 Cirrus None 01:01 34 13 17 193 (SSW) 2246 Cirrus None 02:01 34 12 19 221 (SW) 2082 Cirrus None 03:01 34 13 14 227 (SW) 2304 Cirrus None 04:01 34 8 14 224 (SW) 1699 Cirrus None 05:01 34 0 14 244 (WSW) 860 Cirrus None 06:01 33 1 16 247 (WSW) 809 Cirrus None note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
