All startup went smoothly. During the night's observing I was frustrated with the standard guider problems of not being bale to centroid perfectly good stars. It eventually resolved itself, rather inexplicably. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:04 DIS Slit -200(-098) 84 59 -5.5/-3.9 17 4 none 1.77 18:06 NA2 Gdr 229(57226) 84 61 -5.6/-4.0 200 0 R 1.45 22:25 DIS Slit -050(-064) -85 63 -6.0/-6.4 22 7 none 1.81 22:34 NA2 Gdr -3712(53289) -85 63 -6.6/-6.4 7 10 clear 1.71 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 27 11 5 269 (W) 284 ptly cldy none 17:01 23 10 1 253 (WSW) 158 ptly cldy none 18:01 22 10 2 2 (N) 276 ptly cldy none 19:01 22 10 6 353 (N) 231 clear none 20:01 22 9 11 354 (N) 179 clear none 21:01 20 10 1 25 (NNE) 195 clear none 22:01 22 -1 13 34 (NE) 84 clear none 23:01 21 5 14 29 (NNE) 233 clear none 00:01 22 1 13 40 (NE) 122 clear none 01:01 24 -24 11 58 (ENE) 71 clear none 02:01 26 -32 7 82 (E) 78 clear none 03:01 26 -33 5 91 (E) 67 clear none 04:01 27 -34 0 241 (WSW) 67 clear none 05:01 26 -34 0 276 (W) 75 clear none 06:01 27 -34 0 122 (ESE) 78 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
