There was cirrus spread evenly around the sky which persisted after sunset. I spent the early part of the evening training the on-site observers in the use of Remark and the SPICam interface and we did get a small amount of data. The quality isn't good but it was a useful exercise for Bertrand to become familiar with using the instrument. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: J.Dembicky Pesky clouds all night long but some data was obtained thru them. Clouds finally became too thick around 04:10 and nothing useful was obtained after that point. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:34 SPIcam -75(541) 138 56 2.6/2.9 21 8 i' 0.77 20:42 NA2gdr 1682(62682) 172 45 2.9/2.4 3 13 clear 1.80 00:28 SPIcam 50(534) 289 75 3.5/2.8 325 9 B 1.80 00:37 NA2gdr 733(61733) 288 73 3.7/3.0 305 14 R 2.05 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 -18 10 323 (NW) 68 PtlyCldy none 17:01 37 -25 6 4 (N) 136 PtlyCldy none 18:01 37 -22 7 349 (NNW) 117 MstlyCldy none 19:01 37 -14 6 288 (WNW) 113 MstlyCldy none 20:01 38 -14 4 345 (NNW) 135 MstlyCldy none 21:01 37 -16 12 6 (N) 119 MstlyCldy none 22:01 37 -13 11 320 (NW) 123 PtlyCldy none 23:01 37 -11 9 340 (NNW) 154 PtlyCldy none 00:01 38 -12 9 334 (NNW) 165 MstlyCldy none 01:01 39 -10 5 300 (WNW) 169 MstlyCldy none 02:01 39 -11 13 310 (NW) 156 MstlyCldy none 03:01 38 -10 18 311 (NW) 152 MstlyCldy none 04:01 38 -9 19 305 (NW) 213 MstlyCldy none 05:01 38 -10 18 318 (NW) 188 Cloudy none 06:01 38 -8 20 322 (NW) 176 Cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
