Dembicky Clouds prevented us from opening at twilight but clear enough for us to open at 18:55. Dust and humidity were both borderline but the radar showed some clearing skies moving this direction. The dust counts hovered around 3000 to 3800 cts for the first half. Since they were not spiking and staying relatively constant I opted to keep the enclosure open. Second Half Observing Specialist: C. Hastings I closed at switchover when dust went over 4k, then humidity also rose over limits, so it seemed a good decision. When humidity and dust were just barely acceptable the clouds were opaque. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:03 GFP 30(735) 112 63 4.6/5.8 267 5 4313 0.88 22:30 GFP 0(626) 161 64 4.0/4.0 205 5 4002 0.95 22:38 NA2gdr 1611(65611) 166 64 4.0/3.9 234 8 R 0.82 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 42 35 10 177 (S) 1979 Cloudy none 17:01 42 35 5 234 (SW) 1684 Cloudy none 18:01 42 33 3 261 (W) 1577 Cloudy none 19:01 40 33 4 276 (W) 2111 Pt.
