Misty logged in to work on DIS cals and all systems seemed to run well, now under cirrus skies. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R. McMillan Second half had moderate seeing with cirrus and a few heavier clouds, never thick enough to prevent observations. We lost just a few minutes when the slitviewer exposures were apparently too short (1 second), causing Remark to freeze up. When we stuck to longer exposures, the problem didn't recur. Everything else went smoothly. ------------- FAILURE LOG ------------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- CU05/E I/S 00:39 00:45 slitviewer control froze up ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:09 DIS Slit -50(423) 100 25 0.2/1.1 249 9 none 2.14" 18:15 NA2 Gdr 395(57398) 101 26 0.2/1.2 249 19 R 1.48" 20:32 DIS Slit -30(321) 133 46 0.8/0.7 289 17 none 1.24" 00:28 Echelle 30(-487) 239 75 2.0/1.4 259 14 ND3 1.21 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 37 4 4 308 (NW) 175 ptly cldy none 17:01 32 5 6 277 (W) 168 ptly cldy none 18:01 33 0 8 265 (W) 392 ptly cldy none 19:01 33 -4 10 239 (WSW) 518 ptly cldy none 20:01 34 -10 15 278 (W) 312 ptly cldy none 21:01 34 0 13 289 (WNW) 411 clear none 22:01 35 3 9 267 (W) 473 mstly clr none 23:01 35 3 13 269 (W) 626 mstly clr none 00:01 35 11 12 263 (W) 660 clear none 01:01 35 17 15 238 (WSW) 583 clear none 02:01 35 18 14 261 (W) 734 clear none 03:01 35 20 12 269 (W) 700 ptly cldy none 04:01 35 22 16 258 (WSW) 734 ptly cldy none 05:01 35 24 15 258 (WSW) 574 ptly cldy none 06:01 34 25 14 248 (WSW) 501 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
