Dembicky Started cooling (fans on) at 16:30, opened enclosure at 16:50. UW was on the sky by 17:08 to start taking eveing twilight flats. Everything ran smoothly for the first half. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: R. McMillan After an hour or so of poor seeing around midnight, the image quality improved to subarcsecond for the remainder of second half. Thin clouds moved through off and on without causing significant loss of throughput. Everything worked well, except for repeated crashes of the remote observer's Remark. Since she was using SPIcam, she was comfortable operating from an mcnode and we didn't bother much over the problem. ------------- FAILURE LOG ------------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:48 SPIcam -150(446) 73 46 1.7/3.7 330 12 r' 1.13" 17:55 NA2gdr 1087(62087) 73 47 1.9/3.4 334 14 R 1.19" 19:22 SPIcam -50(492) 60 44 2.0/1.9 314 14 r' 1.09" 20:53 SPIcam 25(518) 143 52 1.8/1.6 305 9 I 1.07" 20:59 NA2gdr 2896(63896) 143 52 1.8/1.6 305 9 clear 1.88" 00:37 SPIcam 50(736) 285 26 3.5/2.4 342 5 I 0.95 03:51 NA2gdr 2601(63601) 151 77 4.4/4.0 26 18 R 0.74 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 38 16 2 295 (WNW) 453 Mst Clear none 17:01 35 18 5 348 (NNW) 453 Mst Clear none 18:01 35 17 13 342 (NNW) 317 Mst Clear none 19:01 35 17 13 324 (NW) 299 Clear none 20:01 36 15 13 331 (NNW) 299 Clear none 21:01 35 21 9 324 (NW) 334 Clear none 22:01 36 20 14 340 (NNW) 276 Clear none 23:01 37 17 13 330 (NNW) 301 mstly clr none 00:01 38 15 15 319 (NW) 281 mstly clr none 01:01 39 12 15 351 (N) 296 mstly clr none 02:01 40 11 6 22 (NNE) 252 ptly cldy none 03:01 40 10 8 22 (NNE) 220 mstly clr none 04:01 40 11 17 36 (NE) 123 mstly clr none 05:01 40 16 17 28 (NNE) 79 mstly clr none 06:01 40 17 18 29 (NNE) 71 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
