I turned it over to the UW folks (1st half observers) to get some twilights. The weather (temperature and dewpoint) readings again got stuck around 18:00. Craig fixed the problem remotely around 20:20ish so any temps or conditions before that should be suspect. We switched over to GRIM at 23:51 and I turned the instrument back over to the 2nd half observers at 00:10 after showing Nancy's students around the 3.5m enclosure during the instrument swap. The 2nd half observers noted a strange white bar on the bottom of the LL quadrant with exposures under 1.2s in duration. PR was submitted. When they slewed to Saturn we discovered that that white bar affected the image. Several reboots of GRIM and one of the ICC fixed the problem. About 25 mins was lost in solving this little problem. Clouds shut us down early as they started to thicken and no useful observations could be made after 04:35. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:05 SPIcam -225(652) 169 75 9.0/12.0 264 2 r' 0.84 18:15 NA2gdr 1629(62629) 173 76 9.0/12.0 264 2 R 0.78 19:42 SPIcam -150(755) 189 62 9.0/12.0 264 2 r' 0.85 19:51 NA2gdr 1629(62629) 192 62 9.0/12.0 264 2 none 1.56 21:00 SPIcam -50(737) 209 55 9.1/8.6 189 6 r' 0.93 00:20 GrIm-f/10 40(645) 128 67 8.2/8.2 172 12 1.58u 0.67 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 54 28 8 253 (WSW) 236 Clear none 17:01 50 27 1 277 (W) 207 Clear none 18:01 NA NA NA NA NA NA Clear none 19:01 NA NA NA NA NA NA Clear none 20:01 NA NA NA NA NA NA Clear none 21:01 48 23 4 207 (SSW) 142 Clear none 22:01 47 25 6 191 (S) 200 Clear none 23:01 48 24 10 179 (S) 201 Clear none 00:01 47 26 8 179 (S) 231 Clear none 01:01 47 27 14 127 (SE) 228 Clear none 02:01 46 27 12 111 (ESE) 219 Pt.
