Dembicky Started cooling at 17:05 after the humidity dropped below closure limits. I opened around 17:45 after the first half observers finished their lamps with DIS. The instrument changeover occured a couple mins ahead of schedule and I had everything ready by 00:07 for the second half observer. Nicole had a few computer problems with Remark on the NMSU end and I instructed her how to control the telescope via the MC, which seemed more reliable on their end. The seeing was decent at times tonight with measurements below 1 arc sec and then at other times going above 2.5 arc sec. At the end of the night the 2nd set of mirror covers would not respond (close) remotely, I was able to close them manually though. ------------- FAILURE LOG ------------- PROG/INST FAILURE MODE TIME S/E/G/D/O T/I/U-S/H START FINISH DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:50 DISslit -110(314) 113 63 2.5/4.0 22 6 none 0.91" 17:57 NA2gdr 726(57726) 114 64 2.5/3.8 36 13 R 0.87" 19:30 DISslit -90(398) 120 37 2.7/2.7 53 15 none 1.47" 19:36 NA2gdr -76(56923) 120 37 2.7/2.7 53 15 clear 2.79" 23:09 DISslit -150(159) 253 59 -0.3/0.7 355 5 none 1.09" 00:23 SPIcam 28(605) -78 30 1.5/0.5 75 3 I 0.99" 00:54 NA2gdr 2757(63757) -74 24 0.5/0.3 22 6 R 1.35" --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 34 32 0 98 (E) 291 Mst.
