Dembicky, J.Barentine We opened the enclosure/mirror covers at 16:50 to start cooling. We focused SPIcam and the guider at 17:48 with FWHM measurements at 0.73 arc sec in r'. John took a test short 5 sec image just before we started and recorded an image at 0.55 arc sec in r'!!! Since John was still here at the end of the Lens program we tag teamed and quickly switched over the the GFP by 18:35. Seeing was excellent all night long with sub arc second seeing for the major part of it. Other than the GFP having a minor glitch with the camera (which seemed to be resolve while the 2237 Lens program was operating, there were no problems otherwise. Second Half Observing Specialist: C. Hastings Second half transition again went well. Clear skies, decent seeing and all systems ran smoothly. A few puffs of clouds in the early AM. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:40 SPIcam -100(735) 140 54 7.2/9.5 242 4 r' 0.73" 17:49 NA2gdr 73(61073) 140 54 7.2/9.5 242 4 R 0.84" 19:08 GFP -25(750) 175 71 6.7/7.7 174 1 4300 0.72" 19:10 NA2gdr 2242(66242) 175 71 6.8/7.7 188 2 R 0.89" 20:58 GFP -75(713) 121 51 5.9/6.7 184 5 4050 1.04" 21:12 NA2gdr -67(63932) 121 51 5.9/6.7 183 6 R 1.09" 00:04 SPIcam 0(800) 244 33 6.6/6.6 181 9 r' 0.97" 00:09 NA2gdr 340(61341) 246 32 6.6/6.6 194 7 R 0.95" 01:43 SPIcam -50(619) 192 55 6.3/6.1 213 12 I 0.97" 01:45 NA2gdr 1524(62522) 193 55 6.3/6.1 222 9 R 0.97" 04:02 SPIcam 25(787) 237 38 6.3/6.4 236 9 I 0.74" --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 49 33 7 263 (W) 442 Clear none 17:01 46 37 5 256 (WSW) 545 Clear none 18:01 43 33 3 220 (SW) 212 Clear none 19:01 45 34 2 193 (SSW) 290 Clear none 20:01 45 30 5 183 (S) 233 Clear none 21:01 43 31 5 183 (S) 176 Clear none 22:01 43 29 5 186 (S) 129 Clear none 23:01 44 25 8 183 (S) 101 Clear none 00:01 44 22 7 187 (S) 93 Clear none 01:01 44 25 11 223 (SW) 129 Clear none 02:01 43 26 9 212 (SSW) 183 Clear none 03:01 44 23 9 232 (SW) 202 Clear none 04:01 44 25 8 236 (SW) 235 Clear none 05:01 44 26 8 262 (W) 284 ptly cldy none 06:01 43 28 7 263 (W) 322 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
