Then the wind picked up, the seeing degraded to 2" or worse, and the skies cleared. Jeff Morgan logged in from UW to do scattered light tests using SPIcam, both with and without the special tertiary baffle. We also did some work on improving the consistency of the altitude magnasensors. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Jack Dembicky Everything seemed to run smoothly for the 2nd half of the night. Jeff managed to get over 130 images! ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 54 23 16 253 (WSW) 308 mstly cldy none 17:01 52 20 16 265 (W) 367 mstly cldy none 18:01 52 21 21 260 (W) 288 ptly cldy none 19:01 51 22 21 256 (WSW) 283 ptly cldy none 20:01 51 21 24 265 (W) 189 mstly clr none 21:01 50 22 21 281 (W) 242 mstly clr none 22:01 50 22 25 286 (WNW) 278 mstly clr none 23:01 49 23 22 276 (W) 224 mstly clr none 00:01 48 24 19 271 (W) 236 Clear none 01:01 47 26 22 277 (W) 245 Clear none 02:01 47 27 18 294 (WNW) 302 Clear none 03:01 46 29 21 289 (WNW) 292 Clear none 04:01 45 29 14 278 (W) 273 Clear none 05:01 44 29 10 269 (W) 279 Clear none 06:01 44 28 11 286 (WNW) 208 Clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
