Even after most of the line of clouds had passed by us on the satellite image, some orographic effects remained. At last, the sky cleared shortly before 02:00 and we were able to open. Seeing was moderate at first (1.2 arcsec) and poor later (2 arcsec), with some dependence on position relative to the wind. Once we opened, observations went perfectly smoothly. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:04 DISslit -150(612) 230 47 7.1/8.6 311 16 - 1.22 02:06 NA2gdr -1584(55415) 231 46 7.0/8.4 328 18 R 1.23 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 52 27 15 264 (W) 424 cloudy none 19:01 50 26 12 296 (WNW) 502 cloudy none 20:01 49 25 2 300 (WNW) 478 cloudy none 21:01 48 27 13 347 (NNW) 530 cloudy none 22:01 48 28 15 327 (NNW) 406 cloudy none 23:01 47 30 20 4 (N) 333 cloudy none 00:01 47 30 16 336 (NNW) 258 mstly cldy none 01:01 45 30 19 305 (NW) 273 mstly cldy none 02:01 45 30 8 303 (WNW) 261 mstly clr none 03:01 44 30 25 307 (NW) 294 clear none 04:01 43 30 22 297 (WNW) 318 clear none 05:01 43 30 15 311 (NW) 239 clear none 06:01 42 31 13 302 (WNW) 278 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
