Barentine Opened at 20:00 under partly cloudy skies with rain in the region, but monitoring the cloud camera very closely. Closed at 21:35 after Craig called to report rain on Sunspot Hwy not far from APO. Reopened at 22:40 to what looked like clearing from the west only to be foiled by a sucker hole. An orographic cloud mass hung out over the mountain for the remainder of the first half, and Jon decided to call it a night around 00:15 and gave the remainder of his time over to Atsuko. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: J. Dembicky Clouds prevented opening on time but they quickly moved out around 01:30 when we re-opened. Everything ran smoothly. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:42 DISslit -110(315) 220 84 3.8/4.5 352 9 none 1.42 01:45 NA2gdr -303(56696) 220 84 3.8/4.5 352 9 R 1.12 --------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 49 34 10 234 (SW) 212 Mst.
