Sky mostly clear, no problem with startup and the Lens program started on time and obtained good flats in r' and g' that could be added to the SPIcam flat library. When switching to the Echelle we had some guider troubles easily fixed and then were on our way. Seeing was decent and telescope was behaving well. Observing Specialist, 2nd Shift: Russet McMillan Second half went very smoothly, with clear skies and bad seeing (2-4 arcsec). There was a little confusion when the little-used 'Calibrate' feature in Remark was invoked accidentally, but it was quickly cleared up. Otherwise, everything worked very well. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:02 SPIcam 100(1045) 235 46 4.6/5.8 354 11 - 1.06" 19:10 Echelle 032(0002) 239 29 4.2/4.8 032 20 ND2 1.41" 00:23 DISslit 100(854) 235 64 4.7/4.0 28 21 - 1.62 00:27 NA2gdr 2411(58411) 148 53 4.8/4.0 45 19 none 1.55 ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 41 -25 8 358 (N) 59 ptly cldy none 17:01 41 -25 7 353 (N) 73 ptly cldy none 18:01 40 -14 8 12 (NNE) 94 ptly cldy none 19:01 39 -7 8 18 (NNE) 103 clear none 20:01 39 10 1 40 (NE) 100 clear none 21:01 41 13 21 4 (N) 49 clear none 22:01 41 11 24 22 (NNE) 289 clear none 23:01 42 10 28 22 (NNE) 113 clear none 00:01 40 12 18 29 (NNE) 60 clear none 01:01 44 6 25 69 (ENE) 46 clear none 02:01 43 8 21 74 (ENE) 38 clear none 03:01 41 7 20 70 (ENE) 46 clear none 04:01 40 7 14 80 (E) 81 clear none 05:01 37 7 15 85 (E) 175 clear none 06:01 36 12 12 83 (E) 107 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
