First program started on time without any problems. Craig worked on the slit view camera today and it seems to be better, no failures. I tried to start DIMM at around 20:20 MDT and could not get the telescope to move. Multiple attempts to deal with it resulted in nothing, could not spend any more time on it, so closed it up. Sent email to Armin about this. Second half started smoothly with exceptional seeing in the 0.75" range. Telescope was pointing and tracking well and instruments behaved normally. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:46 DIS Slit +200(1472) -029 57 15.6/17.1 345 10 -- 0.85" 19:51 NA2 Gdr -0625(1469) -029 56 15.5/17.0 346 06 -- 0.93" 23:10 DIS Slit +050(1242) 138 48 14.2/14/6 181 04 -- 0.89" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 63 26 0 56 (NE) 309 clear none 17:01 63 25 5 358 (N) 397 clear none 18:01 62 25 4 290 (WNW) 372 clear none 19:01 60 25 5 315 (NW) 365 clear none 20:01 60 25 8 2 (N) 397 clear none 21:01 59 25 5 292 (WNW) 339 clear none 22:01 59 25 7 257 (WSW) 354 clear none 23:01 58 26 7 193 (SSW) 437 clear none 00:01 56 26 4 195 (SSW) 417 clear none 01:01 57 27 4 180 (S) 760 clear none 02:01 58 26 2 195 (SSW) 453 clear none 03:01 58 26 2 243 (WSW) 381 clear none 04:01 58 26 1 257 (WSW) 392 clear none 05:01 58 27 1 204 (SSW) 398 clear none 06:01 57 27 5 282 (WNW) 396 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
