Kerry Billings was here from Adler for training. We started with DIS and found the slit imager in an odd state. When we restarted it would not connect to the network drives, Craig found the trouble quickly and repaired it. We did have communication troubles with the camera, and I dropped the baud rate to 38k to help with this. It did not so I returned it to 57.6k. We had only one failure after 23:00 MDT. Second half started on time and there were no troubles with guider or instrument and seeing improved greatly. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:40 DIS Slit +100(1299) -029 35 12.4/13.2 182 04 -- 1.81" 01:25 SPIcam -040(0959) 158 56 13.0/12.7 194 08 r' 0.76" 01:35 NA2 Gdr -1513(0961) 162 57 13.2/12.5 188 06 -- 0.81" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 62 18 7 258 (WSW) 258 clear none 17:01 66 21 14 271 (W) 215 clear none 18:01 63 19 6 240 (WSW) 203 clear none 19:01 58 15 7 228 (SW) 204 clear none 20:01 56 14 11 176 (S) 229 clear none 21:01 56 17 10 152 (SSE) 299 clear none 22:01 54 17 11 131 (SE) 245 clear none 23:01 57 20 8 173 (S) 248 ptly cldy none 00:01 57 19 8 188 (S) 262 ptly cldy none 01:01 56 20 7 183 (S) 281 ptly cldy none 02:01 56 20 4 179 (S) 306 ptly cldy none 03:01 55 19 5 196 (SSW) 308 clear none 04:01 54 23 7 180 (S) 307 ptly cldy none 05:01 54 24 6 211 (SSW) 265 clear none 06:01 53 24 5 262 (W) 295 clear none 07:01 54 25 5 265 (W) 311 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
