The guider seeing was generally fairly close to agreement with DIMM, while the seeing on GRIM was usually better. We had reasonable success using GRIM in spectroscopy mode. Both instrument and telescope behaved well, although the tracking was poor while transiting at high altitude. At f/20, GRIM is very sensitive to tracking and pointing difficulties. Observing Specialist, 2nd shift: Noel Camron Hastings The second half started fine, clear skies and poor seeing. I noticed the pointing was off by quite a bit when we started, a local pointing correction remedied this for the rest of the night. During these corrections I noticed that one move took DIS 30 seconds to reach, after REMARK had said that it was complete. It was the rotator, and it was slewing very slowly. This seemed to happen on all slews where the rotator was trying to rotate in a negative direction. It would take about 30 seconds for it to catch up after the move was complete. (problem report submitted) The NA2 guider shutter is still sticking.
