The telescope was opened early for cooling at 19:27 MDT. The WEB server was locked up, so I rebooted it. It required that I unplug it and restart afterwards. All seemed well after that. The sky was clear with good seeing at the start. First program used DIS, then second program used SPIcam, then third program used DIS again. Seeing deteriorated, but skies became nearly photometric later on. All behaved well, instruments and telescope. --------------- OBSERVER'S COMMENTS ---------------- M.Strauss & X.Fan (PU01): A very good half-night; some clouds, but they didn't slow us down at all. The seeing was great! We got very useful, high-quality data. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:05 DIS Slit 100(1282) 213 52 13.1/14.3 208 11 none 0.91" 20:25 NA2 Gdr 1200(????) 216 51 13.1/14.2 209 13 none 1.09" 21:16 SPIcam 000(1078) 244 43 12.7/13.1 205 13 R 0.99" 21:20 NA2 Gdr 778(1078) 245 43 12.6/13.1 198 13 none 1.21" 22:35 SPIcam -075(1024) 100 31 12.1/12.3 188 14 R 1.56" 22:36 NA2 Gdr 1189(1023) 101 32 12.3/12.4 190 15 none 1.37" 23:43 GrIm 020(1295) 099 32 12.5/12.3 181 13 f/5-K 0.90" 01:20 DIS Slit 050(1115) 111 54 12.0/12.0 191 13 none 0.93" 01:25 NA2 Gdr 188(1108) 113 36 12.1/12.0 194 13 none 0.90" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 65 34 11 218 (SW) 163 light cirrus none 17:01 64 29 19 217 (SW) 127 light cirrus none 18:01 63 30 12 200 (SSW) 168 light cirrus none 19:01 59 29 6 235 (SW) 144 light cirrus none 20:01 56 25 11 204 (SSW) 155 light cirrus none 21:01 55 30 12 200 (SSW) 206 light cirrus none 22:01 53 32 14 206 (SSW) 199 light cirrus none 23:01 54 32 15 181 (S) 226 light cirrus none 00:01 55 27 13 173 (S) 202 light cirrus none 01:01 54 31 12 198 (SSW) 304 light cirrus none 02:01 54 32 12 199 (SSW) 269 light cirrus none 03:01 55 24 10 262 (W) 152 light cirrus none 04:01 56 25 9 241 (WSW) 220 light cirrus none 05:01 57 27 10 215 (SW) 210 light cirrus none 06:01 54 30 13 191 (S) 200 light cirrus none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
