Eventually opened at 23:00 and got some good science. Observing Specialist, 2nd shift: Camron Hastings Second half started with questionable weather conditions. Clear overhead, but on the edge of a big storm system all night. We closed the telescope again at 02:00 due to clouds and waited. We re-opened again at 03:45 MDT to catch a clear patch. --------------- OBSERVER'S COMMENTS ---------------- X.Fan: We were able to get some good data during the few hours when it was not cloudy (for both PU programs). --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ---------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM --------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:05 DIS Slit -075(1053) 146 53 11.6/13.5 177 10 none 1.52" 00:25 NA2 Gdr -3275(0985) 219 52 11.7/12.5 182 06 none 0.97" ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 59 41 8 186 (S) 426 cloudy rain 17:01 55 46 21 138 (SE) 514 cloudy rain 18:01 58 43 15 141 (SE) 348 cloudy rain 19:01 57 45 22 143 (SE) 449 cloudy rain 20:01 54 40 17 212 (SSW) 235 cloudy rain 21:01 55 36 4 249 (WSW) 303 cloudy rain 22:01 54 36 7 207 (SSW) 266 cloudy rain 23:01 53 35 7 181 (S) 249 cloudy none 00:01 54 36 6 183 (S) 243 ptly cldy none 01:01 52 37 2 192 (SSW) 310 ptly cldy none 02:01 53 37 7 176 (S) 289 cloudy none 03:01 52 40 11 189 (S) 368 ptly cldy none 04:01 49 41 5 158 (SSE) 420 ptly cldy none 05:01 50 42 5 217 (SW) 444 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
