The outer valves were open first and then the inner were shut off. The pressure did not drop by much, but enough to trigger the alarm, which quickly shut back off. Opened at 22:20. Obtained only a few DIS spectra, some through clouds. The huge rapid focus change was probably from late cooling. Closed at 23:25. Observing Specialist, 2nd Half: Camron Hastings I stayed closed until 03:10 MDT when a hole opened up. We opened and stayed that way until twilight. All ran smoothly. ****** OBSERVER COMMENTS ****** --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ----------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:30 DISslit 200(805) -68 80 14.3/16.0 153 3 none 1.66 22:40 NA2gdr 3464(805) none 0.85 22:50 DISslit 0(714) 164 36 14.0/15.6 198 5 none 1.32 22:55 NA2gdr -2192(714) none 1.27 03:25 GrIm-f/10 095(800) 195 36 13.5/13.8 178 8 H 0.67 04:50 GrIm-f/10 115(???) 218 26 13.4/13.6 215 8 H 0.73 #First temp is air, second temp is telescope structure. ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 18:01 58 49 12 133 (SE) 628 cloudy rain 19:01 56 50 4 107 (ESE) 736 cloudy none 20:01 57 47 1 301 (WNW) 487 cloudy rain 21:01 54 49 4 181 (S) 730 cloudy rain 22:01 58 47 0 194 (SSW) 519 mstly clr none 23:01 58 46 7 236 (SW) 447 mstly cldy none 00:01 59 47 7 232 (SW) 537 mstly cldy none 01:01 58 47 6 188 (S) 586 mstly cldy none 02:01 57 47 7 185 (S) 589 mstly cldy none 03:01 57 47 7 182 (S) 713 ptly cldy none 04:01 56 47 10 214 (SW) 670 ptly cldy none 05:01 56 48 7 209 (SSW) 871 mstly clr none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
