The power was interrupted at 19:02 MDT and the UPS systems kept all computers operating normally. Two minutes later the backup generator restored main power to all other systems. Utility power was regained at 00:30 MDT and the generator shut down about 25 minutes after that. (Total generator run time = 5.9 hours) Continuing rain, lightning and high dust kept us closed for the remainder of the night. ****** OBSERVER COMMENTS ****** --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ----------------- Air/Truss Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp-C Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- #First temp is air, second temp is telescope structure. ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 66 48 9 177 (S) 3696 cloudy none 17:01 66 47 10 186 (S) 3606 cloudy none 18:01 66 47 9 232 (SW) 3076 cloudy none 19:01 62 47 10 185 (S) 3569 cloudy none 20:01 61 44 11 173 (S) 3858 cloudy rain 21:01 60 46 9 182 (S) 3287 cloudy none 22:01 61 45 0 151 (SSE) 3342 cloudy rain 23:01 59 45 8 180 (S) 3503 cloudy none 00:01 58 46 8 225 (SW) 3622 cloudy none 01:01 54 49 8 144 (SE) 3722 cloudy none 02:01 52 47 15 137 (SE) 2327 cloudy rain 03:01 54 46 5 182 (S) 2438 cloudy rain 04:01 55 47 5 267 (W) 3210 ptly cldy none 05:01 58 45 0 274 (W) 3542 clear none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
