Switched to 1.5" slit, which led to later problems. The slit would not position correctly until DIS home and move was redone. During focussing (reflection off whatever) using an ST star, it was troublesome (was thought to be clouds initially). Focus was actually pretty sharp once the slit positioning problem was resolved. Detent was checked. It was not captured. DIMM seectrl START failed. SMALLSEARCH failed. BIGSEARCH failed. Went to dome. LX200 would not respond to keypad movement until DIMM search was stopped. When slewing to Polaris (GO TO star 19), the telescope moved about 30 degrees West. Manually slewed back to, centered on and then synched on Polaris. Worked fine. Later, Armin could not get laptop to reboot until unplugging its network connection. Opened 21:35 (late due to weather) closed 22:55 (weather). Although weather became not totally overcast, it was not good enough for faint DIS spectra. When setting up second DIMM near IRSC (just after midnight), the weather began too marginally clear. Cautiously opened at 00:25 for some in-house Spicam testing. Conditions gradually improved to being fully clear. DIS/Remark problem. When Princeton's mac crashed, a DIS exposure attempt was tried from APO. Although APO's Remark name conflicted with a previous Princeton Remark generated file name, Remark gave no audible warning (honk), just "exposure command sent" in window and waited forever, doing nothing. IRAF's associated ximtool disappeared. It was found later on another part of the desktop in a weirdly configured state. Reset ximtool but not IRAF itself, and later had imexam problems on SPIcam test frames. Closed and reopened xgterm (and IRAF). Problem solved. The "Current APO Weather Information" page's 0330Z satellite frame showed APO to be located in the Caribbean. Just after 03:00, an object offset caused the NA2 guider to start making obviously incorrect but very consistent offsets of 1 arcseconds always in the same direction. Killed and restarted guiding. Fine. Hit humidity limit at 04:15. Closed at 04:20. Reopened at 04:50 for UW08 flats. Closed again at 05:05 for humidity. Rereopened at 05:30 for UW08 flats and reclosed 05:50 after successfully getting them.
