We closed at 01:55 when the dewpoint got too close to the secondary temperature. We tried opening again at 02:45, but the improvement was only brief and we reclosed 15 minutes later. At last the wind changed and we were able to stay open from 04:10 until twilight. During checkout, the rotator ran away several times in the clockwise direction by more than 90 degrees, requiring a stop button to halt it. I re-measured the VEL.OUT.SCALE and adjusted it to be closer to the clockwise velocity. After that, I had no further problems. The reason for the change in velocity is unknown. There were no problems with the instrument during first half. When the observers changed over, we found a problem in the way the MC was handling comments in the image headers, which cost about 20 minutes of open time. It wasn't a problem for the first observer, who used no comments. Craig fixed the difficulty within a few minutes once he was contacted.
