During the first storm we were hit by lightning which disabled the phone system. Craig Loomis repaired as best he could. We fried all 6 station cards! It was also later found that the strike that damaged the phone system may have also destroyed the GPS antenna. Without the GPS antenna we were only able to generate good enough times for the TCC for about 2 hours. After that we would have been unable to slew even if we wanted to because we would not know the time accurately enough for the TCC to accept a slew command. I stayed to fill instruments at 03:00 MDT and then shut things down. It started to clear around then. ****** OBSERVER COMMENTS ****** None --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ----------------- Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- No Data #First temp is air, second temp is telescope structure. ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:01 67 48 10 234 (SW) 810 cloudy ?????? 17:01 67 49 15 223 (SW) 858 cloudy ?????? 18:01 65 46 11 267 (W) 846 cloudy ?????? 19:01 63 44 9 280 (W) 707 cloudy ?????? 20:01 60 44 11 278 (W) 751 cloudy none 21:01 49 46 8 283 (WNW) 1514 cloudy rain 22:01 50 47 5 102 (ESE) 1222 cloudy rain 23:01 53 46 3 332 (NNW) 1078 cloudy none 00:01 56 41 12 315 (NW) 321 cloudy none 01:01 54 42 7 291 (WNW) 315 cloudy none 02:01 53 42 6 269 (W) 357 cloudy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
