The telescope was not opened during first half due to thunderstorms and high humidity, but the closure was in a good cause, since we needed the moisture. The humidity and clouds remained troublesome for a while, but we were able to open at 04:00 and get a little data for both UC05 and PU05, with surprisingly good seeing considering that the primary mirror had been 10 degrees C warmer than the air just over an hour before. While we were closed during first half, tests of the echelle calibration mirrors produced a few repeats of last night's error messages, which were traced to the hardware. Calibration images also had some trouble writing to disk legibly due to long comments, a known bug. While telescope was open, the echelle worked perfectly.
