All worked fine when we did though. 2nd Half Observing Specialist: Russet McMillan The clouds thickened again and PU01 was unable to get anything useful after 02:00. The NM02 program, which included brighter targets, had more success. We had one failure of the GRIM application, but otherwise everything went smoothly. ****** OBSERVER COMMENTS ****** X. Fan (PU01): Struggling with clouds; some useful data collected. --------------- INSTRUMENT FOCUS LOG ----------------- Wind Time Instrument Focus Az El #Temp Dir MPH filt FWHM" --------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:05 GRIM II -050(768) -005 86 12.3/12.5 185 03 f/5,J 0.67" 03:35 GRIM(f/10) 75(938) 145 29 12.4/11.7 252 1 J 1.16 #First temp is air, second temp is telescope structure. ------------- WEATHER CONDITIONS ------------ Wind Precip. or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions -------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:01 63 19 14 281 (W) 735 ptly cldy none 17:01 58 17 10 323 (NW) 693 ptly cldy none 18:01 60 20 11 260 (W) 925 ptly cldy none 19:01 56 21 3 326 (NW) 927 cloudy none 20:01 55 21 4 347 (NNW) 1093 cloudy none 21:01 55 21 9 316 (NW) 978 cloudy none 22:01 56 21 6 335 (NNW) 874 cloudy none 23:01 56 21 4 336 (NNW) 872 cloudy none 00:01 54 21 2 188 (S) 1107 ptly cldy none 01:01 55 19 5 178 (S) 1087 ptly cldy none 02:01 54 19 0 167 (SSE) 1148 mstly cldy none 03:01 55 19 0 189 (S) 1117 mstly clr none 04:01 54 20 1 246 (WSW) 1107 ptly cldy none 05:01 54 18 2 235 (SW) 1012 ptly cldy none note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
