The inner PMSS canister still shows pink in the window. Opened Dome at 18:55 (MDT). Twilight flats were obtained for UC02 with SPIcam. Good seeing of around 0.7 arcseconds, to the point of almost undersampling during SPIcam focus frames. The guider was undersampling at as low as 1.5 pixels. Elongation of stars were reported in the SPIcam images, even while guider was employed. Astigmatism? Seeing remained under 1" sometimes as low as 0.65", until about 23:30 when it deteriorated to around 1.5". The IRSC slowly fell behind as the night progressed. Later, the NA2 guider seeing was unreliable as we were guiding on a galaxy. Second-Half Observing Specialist: Camron Hastings Not much of interest second half. Good seeing, clear skies and a trouble free telescope! Images as good as 0.68"! Good correlation with DIMM data, although there was an offset at times of up to 0.3" or so, all trends were matched. SPIcam abruptly kicked the observer off near the end of the night and bailed out into the prompt. We simply restarted SPIcam and all was well. OBSERVER COMMENTS R.Kron (UC02): Three clusters were observed in i' and z'.
