When filling instruments I noticed that the GRIM temps are working again. In addition, DIS is 4 degrees warmer than normal on the red side and about 3 degrees warmer on the blue. The bias frames had an odd look to them.(/export/images/apr21.0001-5r.fit) I wiped the chips for about 5-10 mins and this cleared most of it up, but I am concerned as to why the temp is high. Could it need pumping down? I topped the LN2 but this had no effect. As the night wore on the temps dropped again. I cleaned the work table on the 3.5-m observing level. It is getting very cluttered with bolts and tools and such and makes it hard to do filter work up there. Could we make an effort to keep that area clean. I did not know what to do with all the odds and ends, so they are all in a metal 'odds and ends' can. I returned what tools I could and left I cleaned the drive surfaces, the telescope az drive surface was quite dirty. Also, I taped over the open electrical outlets on the new cloud scanner UPS to avoid unwanted water from entering. It started raining at 20:20 MDT with less than 30% relative humidity and a dew point depression of over 18 degrees! Just to keep us on our toes... Cloud scanner got a light sprinkle, glad I taped it up.
